Leading Expert in Presbyopia and Cataract Surgery: Dr. Kim Sun-young of Healing Eye Clinic

Hello.
I'm Dr. Kim Sun-young, head director of Healing Eye Clinic, a leading center for presbyopia and cataract surgery.^^
Recently, ophthalmologists from Zimmer in Germany came all the way to Korea to learn surgical techniques from me. ^^
When I asked how they found out about me, they said I was known as a famous ophthalmologist in Germany. Haha.
(I was a bit embarrassed by all the compliments...^^)
Having performed over 20,000 cataract surgeries over the past 18 years,
I've accumulated a lot of know-how and information needed for patients.
So, I started sharing this information on YouTube, and many people from all over the country and abroad have been visiting my clinic.
The lens you see above is a really popular lens these days.
Have you ever heard of 'Precision'?
(It's also the lens I used when I operated on my mother ^^)
The chairman of Ophtec, the Dutch company that makes this Precision lens,
visited the hospital in person,
thanked me for watching the YouTube videos, and...
even presented me with a plaque of appreciation.
I discussed future lens trends with the representatives and development staff of Johnson & Johnson.^^
The company you see above is Johnson & Johnson, the American company that developed the 'Synergy' lens.
The developers and representatives of the company visited our hospital in person.
The woman in the pink dress is the developer of the Eyehance lens,
and they also created the 'PureSee lens,' which is especially favored by ophthalmologists these days.
Thanks to these connections,
our eye clinic has been selected as a hospital to receive priority supply of PureSee lenses in Korea.

In addition, I have appeared on various broadcasting programs such as YTN FM radio,
JTBC Miracle Food, KBS A Worthwhile Morning, etc.
Why is Healing Eye Clinic known for Presbyopia and Cataract Surgery?
As my name became more widely known,
the reason why overseas doctors come to learn surgery is...
just one thing.
'A doctor's attitude of never stopping learning.'
I make a point of attending academic conferences, even if I have to take time out on weekends,
and I have been studying cataract surgery for nearly 20 years.
I even took a vacation to go to a gathering of 100 of the largest ophthalmologists in China,
where I gave academic presentations and shared the know-how I've learned.
As I continue to study diligently,
I've developed my own know-how when it comes to choosing the right lens for my patients.
<Three criteria for optimal lens selection>
(If you are planning to have cataract surgery, please read the article above!)
I personally performed cataract surgery on both of my parents.
Why does Healing Eye Clinic continue to be known for Presbyopia and Cataract Surgery?
Thankfully,
those who have visited our hospital continue to spread the word.
After looking at the reasons one by one,
there were three things.
1) One-stop process
Healing Eye Clinic : Leading Expert in Presbyopia and Cataract Surgery
Usually, when you go to a hospital to have cataract surgery,
it often takes a while to consult with a doctor,
and even after the consultation,
you may not be able to have surgery right away.
You usually have to wait 3 to 5 hours for the lens that fits the patient's eye to be delivered separately by quick service,
and if the quick service is closed,
you have to visit again the next day.
So, I prepare dozens of all lenses introduced from overseas in advance for each patient's nearsightedness and astigmatism.
(This is not easy for general ophthalmologists because of cost issues.)
So, those who visit our Healing Eye Clinic
can complete all these processes in one day, from registration, eye exam, consultation with the director, to surgery.
And for cataract surgery,
you must meet the 6-hour hospitalization standard in order to claim private insurance.
So, our staff is working night shifts to take care of you meticulously.^^
This is our hospital room bed.^^
(Please refer to the article below for how to receive private insurance.^^)
Every morning, we have a meeting with the staff (counseling manager, optometrist) who work morning time.^^
2) Resident optometrist with 10 years of experience or more

In my opinion,
of course, the role of the doctor is important,
but I think the skills of the optometrist cannot be ignored either.
Because each person's 'astigmatism' is different,
it is not easy to accurately detect astigmatism, even with the best eye exam equipment.
Therefore, we only have optometrists with more than 10 years of experience who have performed tens of thousands of eye exams.
are in charge of astigmatism testing.^^
(For reference, the results produced by 5-year and 10-year optometrists are quite different.)
In fact, astigmatism testing is done manually by a person,
which is more accurate than a machine.
3) Lifetime Responsibility Guarantee System

I believe that I am ultimately responsible for the patients who have gone through my hands.
Therefore, all patients who have surgery at our hospital
will receive free re-surgery if any side effects occur.
In fact, there are not many places in Korea that have a re-surgery center,
and there are probably very few places that offer free warranty.
If you are looking for a 'Presbyopia and Cataract Surgery Specialist,'
you don't have to contact me right away.
