A Korean patient, born in 1968 and currently residing in Canada, traveled all the way to Korea for cataract surgery.

Working in an IT-related office job, the patient suffered from severe presbyopia, making it difficult to even see the letters on the computer screen.

It reportedly took as long as 20 minutes to cut their fingernails and toenails.

Deciding to undergo surgery before the symptoms worsened,

the patient searched YouTube for doctors providing information about cataracts.

What was the biggest concern when deciding to undergo surgery?

Therefore, there was a lot of anxiety even after seeing the results.

I have performed over 20,000 cataract surgeries, and at times, I have even operated on up to 53 patients in a single day.

After deciding to have surgery, weren't you nervous or scared right before the procedure?

To be honest, I was a little nervous.

Throughout the consultation, you explained everything very reliably,

but on the other hand, I was also worried that something might go wrong with my eyes or that it might be painful.

However, as I lay on the warm mat and heard the director's gentle voice,

my tension quickly melted away.

I already felt it through YouTube, but the director's tone of voice is so gentle that I was able to receive treatment comfortably.

Also, during the surgery, you said, "It will be over soon, so think of a pleasant moment,"

but before I could think of anything, the surgery was over before I knew it. Haha.

(It usually takes between 5 and 10 minutes ^^)

We have received requests from TV programs such as JTBC, YTN, and KBS, and I participated in the filming with gratitude.

When you decided to have surgery, what made you choose our clinic among so many hospitals?

Living abroad, YouTube was the only way to get information.

So, I watched dozens of videos.

However, most of them only said, 'Our hospital is really good.'

You explained it in an unadorned way, which felt genuine.

Even though the message wasn't flashy, I felt a great deal of confidence within it.

After receiving cataract surgery, were there any 불편한 parts?

I didn't feel any foreign body sensation or pain, as if I hadn't had surgery at all.

I don't know about others, but I didn't have any.

Lastly... if you have anything to say to those who are about to undergo cataract surgery?

Since my surgery went so well and the progress is good,

what I can definitely say is that 'it's better to get it done as soon as possible.'

Cataracts don't come on suddenly but progress slowly,

so if you already have presbyopia and can't see well,

(it will get worse over time) I recommend getting surgery as soon as possible.

And if possible, I hope you get surgery here.
