Recently, doctors from Germany's Zimmer Eye Clinic came to Korea to learn surgical techniques.

(I was a little embarrassed because it was such a compliment!)

I've accumulated a lot of know-how and gained a wealth of information that is essential for patients.

And the person in the pink dress in the picture is the developer of the i-Hans lens.

I consistently attend conferences, even on weekends,
and I have never let go of the field of cataract surgery for over 20 years.
I even took time off to give an academic presentation in front of 100 of China's largest ophthalmology specialists.

After thinking carefully about the reason, there are three main points:
1) One-Stop Process
Usually, when you come to the hospital for cataract surgery,
you often have to endure a long wait to consult with the doctor,
and even if you finish the consultation, it is often difficult to proceed directly to surgery.
This is because the lens that fits the patient's eye must be ordered separately by quick delivery.
In this case, you usually have to wait 3-5 hours or more,
and if the quick delivery is over, you may have to come back to the hospital the next day.
Therefore, I prepare dozens of almost all types of lenses imported from overseas in advance, according to each patient's myopia and astigmatism.
(In fact, this is often difficult in most ophthalmology clinics due to cost issues.)
So, those who visit Healing Eye Clinic can complete the entire process from reception → eye exam → consultation with the director → surgery in one day.
Also, when performing cataract surgery, hospitalization for more than 6 hours is required to receive real insurance benefits.

2) Resident optometrists with more than 10 years of experience
In my opinion,
Of course, I think the role of the doctor is very important.
But I don't think you should take the 'skill of the optometrist' lightly.
The 'astigmatism' that occurs in each person's eyes appears differently,
and even if you use good high-tech equipment, it is never easy to perfectly capture the astigmatism in the eye.
So, we only have optometrists with more than 10 years of experience who have experience in tens of thousands of tests in charge of astigmatism testing. ^^
(For reference, the difference in optometry results between 5th year and 10th year is quite large.)
In fact, astigmatism tests performed by human hands are more accurate than machines.
